After being the first German musician to record at the infamous Abbey Road studios, RIPL moved to Scotland to expand his musical vision. Since then RIPL has dominated the UK’s open mic scene and has worked alongside Brit and Grammy Award-winning producers on previous releases including his debut single ’Of Course I Can’.

In 2018 RIPL returned to our ears with his second single, ’EMA’, recorded in Grammy-winning producer Jake Gosling’s (Ed Sheeran, The Libertines) Sticky Studios  in London. Oozing RIPL’s soaring, impassioned vocals and delicate strummed guitar melodies, ’EMA’ is a truly infectious slice of folk-pop. Reflecting on those times in life when you try desperately to make yourself heard.

Sonically tinged in the same vein as distinguished artists such as Frank Turner, Ben Howard and The Lumineers, his new single ‘Mai’s Song’ sees RIPL add another delicious slice of rich folk-pop to his plate. The video for ‘Mai’s Song’ sees RIPL take the form of several other well known singers and performers including Adele, Liam Gallagher and Paul McCartney.
