Double Trouble were formed in the spring of 2018 by two experienced self employed musicians:
Jools – Lead & backing Vocals , Acoustic lead & rhythm guitar, Harmonica Donal – Backing & lead Vocals, Acoustic guitar rhythm, bass & melody lines.

Jools has been playing guitar for 30 years and has played in a range bands from an original band in his 20s to in later years blues and rock covers bands, a Jazz band and a Wedding and Function band. Jools studied guitar and Musician’s Institute’s Guitar Institute of Technology in London. As we as his ability as a guitarist, he is known for his strong voice which has come to the front in recent years.

Donal is the driving force behind his own originals band Ded Rabbit he set up alongside his brothers (its a band of brothers). Ded Rabbit regularly tour in the UK and in Europe. Donal is a fine and diverse musician. His original instrument is the bass and he is also fine guitar player with a fine ear and understanding for music which he developed studying music for 3 years full time in Edinburgh to gain a BA degree in Music Performance from the University of Abertay.

The duo musically gelled right away and Jools needed to look no further to find a duo partner and had to disappoint the other 10+ applicants. The duo blend well with Jools doing most of the lead vocals and lead / rhythm guitar and Donal doing bass lines / rhythm guitar / fingerpicking and most of the backing vocals and some lead vocals.

The songs the duo play are a mix of popular classic rock, blues, country and folk tunes of 50s, 60s, 70s and 80s. They perform songs from Artists such as The Rolling Stones, The Beatles, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Jimi Hendrix Experience, Bob Dylan, Johnny Cash and many more.

Since forming Double Trouble have been regularly gigging over the summer of 2018. The duo perform with gusto, passion and genuinely love what they do and this come across to the audience who soon are absorbed. As they are such high calibre musicians Double Trouble enjoy improvisation playing off each other and can take the music to another level.

The Mad Ferret Band are a Scottish duo, known on the folk scene for their hard hitting blend of traditional and contemporary Folk music. Their lively, energetic performances are packed with “blisteringly fast Mandolin solos”, tight harmonies, driving Cajon beats and earth-moving Guitar sounds. The influence from both Scottish and Irish folk music has helped shape their unique sound.

The Duo features Chris Woods on Mandolin, Guitar and Vocals and Sandy Stirton on Guitar, Cajon and Vocals.

Based in Perth, Scotland they are an extremely hard working band having played an average of 180 gigs a year across the U.K. and Europe. Since forming in 2012 they have been honing their music by playing the pub and small venue scene. They look to be even busier in 2015, with more festival performances and European tours on the way.
