DIE HAPPY

ONSTAGE: 00:30

Die Happy, Edinburgh’s best/worst pub band, largely ignoring the last two decades of musical creativity, play songs you didn’t know you liked in a way you’ll love (providing you’ve had a few beforehand!), finally get their shit together and have started gigging again…
What else is alcohol for?

Smells like Mature Cheddar…

MAD FERRET

ONSTAGE: 21.30HRS

The Mad Ferret Band are a Scottish duo, known on the folk scene for their hard hitting blend of traditional and contemporary Folk music. Their lively, energetic performances are packed with “blisteringly fast Mandolin solos”, tight harmonies, driving Cajon beats and earth-moving Guitar sounds. The influence from both Scottish and Irish folk music has helped shape their unique sound.

The Duo features Chris Woods on Mandolin, Guitar and Vocals and Sandy Stirton on Guitar, Cajon and Vocals.

Based in Perth, Scotland they are an extremely hard working band having played an average of 180 gigs a year across the U.K. and Europe. Since forming in 2012 they have been honing their music by playing the pub and small venue scene. They look to be even busier in 2015, with more festival performances and European tours on the way.

“… hi-energy mix of traditional and contemporary Folk” Folk Radio UK

“the best in new roots talent!” Bruce Macgregor, BBC Radio Scotland presenter, director of Northern Roots Festival
