The Jig Show are a 4-piece folk metal band from Edinburgh, Scotland. Starting out in 2017, The band consists of Peter Menzies (Fiddle), Mark Blanford (Guitar), Stephen Foster (Bass) and David Hill (Drums). They started out by livening up traditional ceilidh sets, using bigger backbeats and heavier guitars to create the most energetic dances they could. Continuing with this theme, their writing has expanded musically beyond their ceilidh roots, emerging with an energetic fusion of all things heavy and trad.
