Black Rose is Scotland’s oldest Thin Lizzy tribute band and was formed way back in the 1990s. Over the years we’ve played at events all across Scotland and even ventured to Ireland to play at the Vibe for Philo, as well as The Bask for Philo as recently as 2018.
We’re a 4 piece band playing the ‘classic’ Lizzy material from the mid 70’s to the very early 80’s. All the popular numbers plus a few true gems of album tracks thrown in for good measure.

We don’t look like Lizzy, nor try to be them on stage, but we sure as hell sound like them as many of our fans, and the venues we’ve played, will testify to!

Open Mic Night

Local singer-songwriter Chris Buckley presents the longest-running Open Mic Night in town. Just stick your name down at the bar from  9pm, the sets start at 9.30pm. Every performer receives a complimentary beer. House acoustic and acoustic bass guitars are available for use.
