Puppy Teeth

Puppy Teeth is an Edinburgh-based, female-fronted band that blends shoegaze, grunge, indie rock, and psych-rock/dark Americana into a rich, atmospheric sound. Formed in March 2023, the band consists of Anna Trost (vocals, rhythm guitar), Theo Black (vocals, lead guitar), Ed Meltzer (bass), and Niamh Jordan (drums).
Their influences range from Men I Trust, Jeff Buckley, Big Thief, Wolf Alice, and Deftones, shaping their dreamy yet gritty sonic identity. They’ve played at King Tut’s, La Belle Angele, Sneaky Pete’s, and The Mash House, steadily building their presence in Scotland’s music scene.
Their single Black Honey was written by Anna Trost, recorded and mixed by Ed Meltzer at Pocketsound Studio in Edinburgh, and mastered by Izzy McPhee. The song reflects Anna’s frustration with societal expectations, particularly the pressure to pursue a “real job” instead of following her passion for music.
